Release Records opened its doors in February, 2000. After returning from England after almost 10 years, Jerome Robins & Michael Bertolli returned to Toronto to join Adam Nathan in opening what would become a North American fixture in the progressive scene.

They have since started their own labels: Release Records, Release Grooves and Release Elements... "From a musical standpoint, our influences come from many different sources. They range from British 80's groups such as New Order & to classic Motown artists such as Stevie Wonder & Marvin Gaye. In the 90's, legendary clubs like the Ministry of Sound (London), Twilo (New York) & our very own & beloved Industry (Toronto) provided the arena while pioneering DJ's such as Danny Tenaglia, Sasha & John Digweed were the men introducing us to new & innovative, forward-thinking type of electronic music."
